Boulle Inlaid Ebonized Credenza with Glass Doors and Intricate Detail. Circa.1840.

£22,500.00

This Empire style credenza is of exceptional quality and grand proportions. Circa 1860, this side piece will have sat in a big country house as a statement piece of furniture. It is ebonized with glazed display doors and each cupboard lined with original velvet shelving. There are 9 sets of shelves inside, which would have been used to display ornaments and porcelain. There is a beautifully made brass gallery around the top, with intricate brasswork all around the piece. The doors are surrounded with extremely fine Boullework from red tortoise shell inlaid with more intricate brasswork. It is a truly unique and beautiful piece that you will surely not find again.
