Georgian, Mahogany and Satinwood, Sofa-Table Circa. 1810

£9,850.00
Rosewood and inlaid and bordered with satinwood Georgian sofa table circa 1780. The quality of this table sets it out over others because of the attention to detail in the craftsmanship and the exceptional colour and condition. Believed to have come from the fine English furniture maker Norman Adams of Belgravia. The two flaps fold down either side on pull out arms to give more surface area when in use and on inlaid satinwood legs on brass castors. With two dummy drawers on one side and two working drawers on the other. Such a table would sit behind the sofa usually with the drinks tray on top so that when pouring and serving drinks one could open up the sides to make further room.
