Very Rare 18th Century Mahogany Kettle Stand

£6,750.00
A very rare 18th Century Mahogany kettle stand, possibly Chippendale with extremely fine carved detail on the legs onto original brass castors. With its original mahogany slide for the teapot to sit on. The kettle which would invariably be silver would sit on the top usually with a burner beneath it which would have been integral to the workings of the kettle, the slide would come out and the teapot would sit on the slide and the hot water poured in from the kettle. Circa. 1760-1770.
