John Mallows Youngman, who was a pupil of Henry Sass (1788-1844).
Born in London, John Mallows Youngman exhibited from 1834 to 1882, mainly in London and the Home Counties.
John Mallows Youngman was a pupil of Henry Sass (1788-1844). Before settling in London, Youngman was a book seller in Saffron Walden. His works are well collected and represented in museum collections. A quintessential Victorian painter and artist, successful in his own time with a collection of etchings held at The British Museum London
